Aquastruct
Aquastruct is a factory/puzzle game I created for my capstone year of Sheridan College's Game Design program. You play as a new hire for the Aquastruct division of Astrostruct; A planetary restoration company. During your first training deployment, you crash land on an ocean planet and destroy its fragile ecosystem. In order to keep your job (and keep your supervisor happy) you agree to try and restore this planet to its former glory using patented Aquastruct technology!
Beginning Steps
During the beginning of the project, our ideas for what we wanted to do flipped and flopped around. But through many team talks, advisor meetings, and feedback from our peers, we decided to begin making a style of game was all loved... a factory game!!
I began by creating concept art, sketches, and rudimentary 3D models based heavily on Subnautica and Satisfactory.

Models, Models, and More Models
Because I was the only 3D modeller on the team, it meant a majority of my time went to making, redesigning, and updating our models to keep up with style changes, colour schemes, and overlay effects. But I wouldn't have it any other way! I really enjoyed the challenge of learning new software and the insight it gave me into Unity implementation!
Throughout this time I learned how to efficiently use Blockbench, Blender, and Adobe Substance Painter.
I even got to make cool things like fish!

Finalizing the Designs!
After all was said and done, I moved onto creating marketing material for our final showcase at Level Up in Toronto.
I had an absolute blast creating posters, business cards, banners, shirts, and stickers!
